A new old friend in New York

I got mail from an old friend who lives in New York whose name is Ken. I've lost his trace for quite a long time. I thought that we'll never meet each other again but the fate does choose the other way.

I met Ken when I was in the army. He wrote to me because I put a small ad in a journal to meet friends. I was looking for a pen pal. Since then, we wrote to each other quite often. We did meet each other after but he was leaving for the States and I was heading for France. Since then, I have no more news from him.

Thanks for internet that he found an old mail in his unused mailbox. I just can't believe that I'll have news from him again. He's a touching boy, a simple man, and a handsome one...

J'ai reçu un mail d'un ami que j'ai perdu de trace depuis longtemps. Je ne savais pas qu'il habite à New York aujourd'hui et il travaille dans la mode depuis un peu plus de deux ans.

Je l'ai connu grâce à une petite annonce que j'ai mis dans un journal local. Je cherchais des "correspondances" (Oui, je sais. Ce terme n'existe presque plus aujourd'hui!) J'étais dans l'armée et je me sentais tellement seul. On s'écrivais assez souvent. On s'est même vu juste avant qu'il parte aux USA. C'est un garçon très intelligent, gentil et beau.
